Big Wangs Wings, North Hollywood

For happy hours in the valley, Big Wangs Wings in North Hollywood definitely goes down. People on yelp complain about the service and how crowded it is, but it’s a fucking sports bar with cheap alcohol, the hell do you people expect? Every day during the week there’s at least one type of draft beer that’s at a discount. I know on Tuesdays it’s Budweiser for $2.50 a pint, and 25 cent wing night. Nuff said. The place is huge, with 11+ big screen tv’s playing all sorts of sporting events. The waitresses are cool, although when it gets busy you have to keep reminding them what you ordered or what you wanted. Not really a big deal considering how busy the place can get at times.

For a sports bar, the food is surprisingly good. When we went, OJ ordered the chicken strips which were actually pretty damn good. Yours truly got the Italian sandwich and good lord was it filling as hell. All of the items we ordered were pretty tasty, althought I haven’t tried the wings yet. My mans Tolu from the barbershop said they’re excellent, and for 25 cents on a Tuesday, noone can really say they’re not worth it. Upon request, you can order a bigass vat of beer, similar to a mini keg at your table. I opted for two pitchers of Pabst Blue Ribbon for myself and was pretty saucy by the time we left. Thank god for DD’s (high five OJ).

Phallic name aside, Big Wangs gets the thumbs up from The Grey Republic. Plenty of booze, eye candy, and food all moderately priced for you folks looking for a sports bar to hang out and get loud with fellow fans at.
