This is GREAT. Every Laker Championship (16. 10 in the last 20 years) A Police car is sacrificed during our joyous celebration. This is what was done with one of the sacrificed police vehicles. Awesome. lol

In the last month, Ive had some kind of run in with a lost pair of panties. First time was in the weights area. There was some panties on the floor. Im guessing maybe they fell out of some ladies bag and then got kicked around.

The second time though. Was the panties and sports bra or shirt situation on somebodies car right outside in the parking lot. I cant imagine what happen in this instance. But running into random underwear was funny the first time. Actually, the way it was draped over the car the second time was pretty funny too. But it did leave me wondering, what does the next pantie encounter hold? Hopefully not … I dont even want to imagine. Ugh.

Im thinking of trekking to the Valencia LA Fitness, instead of the Northridge one I go to. This is gross at the end of the day.

During the 2010 Playoffs, The Republic has been out and about around the city at different Sports Bars to watch out Los Angeles Lakers bring home another Championship! Back to Back baby!! We get pretty serious about winning games and the company we keep during those victories. As illustrated by these two videos here:

Never Give Up!!

I was super into the game lol. We were down by 3 at that point and people we getting nervous! it wasnt time for nervousness though! IT WAS TIME TO WIN! And we did!

We WILL be at the Victory parade on monday!

I go to the Jazz Reggae Fest every year, for the last 4 or 5 years. Ive always enjoyed myself. This time was no different. I cant lie, I wasnt there to see the majority of the acts. I just wanted to see Q-tip and Nas… and Barrington Levy, who did not preform Champion (my theme song lol) and slightly broke my heart lol.

My birthday is either right before or during memorial day every year. So this has become part of what I plan to do for my birthday for the past few years. Some how, every time I go, I see old friends and make new friends and have a pretty damn good time.

BUT! Here are some things you should do going to this event.

1. Bring Money, water and snacks. There is authentic Jamacian and soul food there. There is also all kinds of other ethnic food there. But! its kinda expensive. So what Im saying is, bring money to eat something tasty. Bring snacks and water so you dont spend 50 dollars a day up there. Its very well possible. I usually do! lol
2. Bring a bag with something to sit on. They dont allow chairs or anything like that. So a blanket, or towel works. But I’d be willing to bet youre GOING to lay down at some point. Bring a blanket or sheet to stretch out on.
3. It is GOING to be hot. This year was only kind of hot. The last few years, SUPER HOT. dress accordingly.
4. RE: Dressing Accordingly. ALL the women that show up DO! And its super awesome.
5. Alot of women attend this event. Its great. Super great. Sun dresses all over the place.
6. This event is held on grass. Dont wear special flossy shoes. I see people bitch and complain EVERY YEAR. lol
7. Go with the biggest group of people you can. Or meet up with people there. The more people youre with. The better time youre gonna have. This is not just me saying that. But Ive seen alot of big groups of people have a great time.

Thats really the best advice I can give.

Lastly, Id like to say, that I DID NOT know that Q-Tip was such a very live performer!! This man shut it down. I didnt even stick around for Raphel Sadiq!

This man got on the screen base and basically finish shutting it down. I was in awe… Thats a real hiphoper right there. This man puts hella energy into his preformance. I HAVE To go see Tribe at Rock The Bells this August!

This year we are at the same park. But we are playing KickBall this year! Its gonna be so much fun! Im sure of it!

Theres not much I can say about this trip. Except that we had the most fun possible in a time span of about 5 hours lol. It was awesome. My personal highlight of this trip, is when Yong fell out of the damn Golf Cart when we were racing! Lucky for all of us, I have video of this event lol

So one day, Im go over to Jon’s house to kick it with him and Benny and some of their homies. I get there and find out that they are going to some event downtown. Since Im pretty spontaneous, I decided to roll. Which resulted in me totally flaking on Moran, who I was suppose to give some computer files to that same evening. SORRY! ! lol. I blew it on that one.

We went to the Hello Show at the Papillion Institute of Art. Promoted by: Eleven Twenty PR.  Good music, nice peices on display. The homies from Broccli City was there. Jokes, good conversation. It was pretty cool. Nice “grown up” time.

Every Tuesday, Downtown Long Beach ( which is super nice now btw ), at The Cellar there is a pretty chill Music and Open mic night. A friend of mine, Reggie puts it on every tuesday. There are Happy Hour specials, great $1 Tacos, if theres a game on its playing, Live music and talent on the mic. The house band, I cant remember their name. I think they are called Chuck and the Laces. They get down on the covers and their original music is cool as well.

I had a great time here. Mind you I knew a lot of people who hang out here before hand. But still lol. I had a pretty good Mojito and I had a problem staying away from the tacos. They are like street tacos. But more fixings. Basically Black people like cheese on their tacos and thats what it is lol. Of course you put the fixings on your own tacos. There are plenty of options.

My new thing for the summer is to try to make it down here every other week. (when I get my radio back in my car lol) So for the time being, this is about as close to a GreyRepublic Event as their is. Considering how many of us are usually their. So stop on by! Its almost like Cheers because its under ground and theres a good chance you (Republic Members) will know some one there. Everybody is super friendly. So even if you dont. You’ll enjoy your self! Oh yea. Lastly, alot of the women that frequent this place are beautiful. Your Welcome.
